Some weapons grade sabre rattling from North Korea:
The North "will never give up its nuclear deterrent ... and will further strengthen it" as long as Washington remains hostile, Pyongyang's main Rodong Sinmun newspaper said.
In a separate commentary, the Rodong blasted a recent U.S. pledge to defend South Korea with its nuclear weapons, saying that amounted to "asking for the calamitous situation of having a fire shower of nuclear retaliation all over South Korea."
But hey, today is a special day for the Norks --- June 25 is officially "Anti-US Day" (no, really), known to the rest of the world as "the day North Korea invaded South Korea in 1950." And such a special holiday entails some special activities, like, say, heckling a boat:
North Koreans participate in a rally held to commemorate the June 25 anti-U.S. Day in front of the Pueblo, a U.S. spy ship that North Korea seized 41 years ago, in Pyongyang. (in this story's picture gallery)
So, any US attack on North Korea will invite a nuclear response. Let me remind you that includes airstrikes on ICBM's as they fuel on launchpads. Which is why it's good we have a backup plan with missile defense.

I've been coming here quite often over the past few weeks. I work over at MDAA and just now noticed that you link to our poll on the left side. We're actually going to try to get a little more active online and just in general. We're finally getting our blog up and running which will be working to get the word out. Since you are an expert on Missile Defense blogging, feel free to let us know what we could do better if you get the chance. OUr blog is currently at http://missiledefenseadvocacy.org/blog.aspx
though we're putting everything
at http://www.missiledefense.wordpress.com
because it's ease of use.
Keep up the good work!

They're like a lost tribe worshiping a 40 year old plane wreck. Maybe they captured a Ford Pinto & still worship it, too. Ford Pinto day.

Why is it that communist countries always feel that their military technology is supior to ours? I mean, and correct me if I'm wrong, we are the only country with advanced stealth technology, a viable missile defense program, the largest most versatile navy, and enough cruise missiles and predator drones so every kid in America can fly one in on their X-boxes via the internet.
The defunct USSR always thought they could win in a land war and they did have more troops but equipment wise the Abraham's tank decimated the Soviet made tanks of Iraq...don't these guys have Wikipedia?
